The UMS Trappings Story:
Inside a 19th century fire station in New Bedford, Massachusetts, you will find a truly American story of ingenuity taking place. Within these walls, talented artisans – stitchers, if you will – are hard at work crafting apparel of superior quality, made only of the finest materials.
The stitchers bring passion and pride to each of the 60 operations required to create one garment, each of which is created one at a time. This process allows for a level of the highest quality and attention to detail, and every garment is built with the expectation of being better than the previous.
This is authentic New England outerwear, with heritage and history sewn directly into each piece, made with the utmost pride and reverence for the illustrious traditions that have inspired us all. This is a true American story, and like all great American stories, there is always more to come.
